A Tigress’ Prayer
A tigress struts with elegance, pride, and confidence across the earthen landscape. She is admired and resented for her beauty and grace. She has heart and compassion without giving credence to predators…but she remains alert.
Suddenly she hears a cry for help…she runs towards the sound! A predator, larger than the tigress is about to kill another mother’s cub – the mother is not in sight. The tigress attacks the marauder….she fights and maims the killer and stops just a talon shy of killing him. She releases him and the predator scrambles away – knowing he has been shown mercy, yet he is very ungrateful.
The Valley of the Shadow of Death
It was November 28, 2002, providentially my birthday, the cover and photographs of my 1
st book, Stewardship: A Matter of Principle – Don’t Outsmart ‘em, Out God ‘em™, were unveiled to me in a boardroom office in downtown Memphis, Tennessee. A PowerPoint presentation had been prepared and it was accompanied by Mary Mary’s musical composition titled “Can’t Turn Back Now”. This experience was so emotionally encouraging and spiritually strengthening that I began to release the tension that had been building up for months inside me. I cried a river of tears as if something within me required me to hear and respond to the integrity and the perfect efficacy and essence of God’s Word.
